Randstad is currently looking for a teaching assistant who has experience in supporting children with complex learning needs. As a Successful applicant, you will be working with children in Year 2 having different ability levels of learning at a Primary School which is based in Stockport. You'll be joining a dedicated team of highly skilled teachers and learning support staff. You'll need an Enhanced Child DBS, which we can also help you secure if not already held.
What you'll need to do:
... - Work with pupils aged 6 to 7 with special learning needs and disabilities in a primary school.
- Engage children with activities which inspire creativity and imagination.
- Support children and make sure they're understanding the lesson taught by the teachers.
- Work with pupils in small groups or 1:1 to understand their specific needs.
- Work closely with teachers, caregivers and parents to implement positive behaviour and might also have to help pupils with issues.
