We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing health and safety practices across our project sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to project teams on health and safety matters, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver health and safety training programs to employees and contractors, raising awareness and promoting a safety-conscious culture.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and other stakeholders on health and safety-related issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar health and safety management role within the construction industry, ideally with exposure to domestic refurbishment and renovation works as well as new build commercial projects.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across North London.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £70,000 - £75,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
- £7,000 Car Allowance.
