Job Overview: They are seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join the team in the North West. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning and scheduling activities for a variety of commercial schemes, contributing to the successful delivery of projects within specified timelines and budgets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, incorporating all relevant factors and milestones.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary information for effective planning.
- Identify critical paths and potential bottlenecks, offering solutions to ensure project timelines are met.
Resource Allocation:
- Coordinate with project managers to allocate resources efficiently, considering manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Optimise resource utilization to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and delays in project schedules and develop contingency plans.
- Regularly review and update risk assessments to ensure proactive management of project challenges.
Communication:
- Facilitate communication between various stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed of project schedules and any changes.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to management and clients.
Technology Utilization:
- Utilise construction planning software and tools effectively to enhance accuracy and efficiency in project scheduling.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in construction planning.
Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to integrate quality control measures into project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner in a similar role.
- Proficient in construction planning software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of construction regulations, standards, and best practices.
