Role Overview: As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate students, fostering their curiosity and passion for science. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative, and committed to providing high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic science lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in departmental meetings and CPD opportunities to enhance your own professional development.
- Uphold the school's ethos and values, promoting positive behaviour and mutual respect among students.
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant subject area (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently undergoing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) as an ECT.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
