🤝 Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SEN teacher in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and supporting students with SEN in classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they stay engaged and make progress.
- Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and social development.
- Support students in developing independent learning skills and managing their emotions and behaviour effectively.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
📚 Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of different SEN conditions and effective strategies to support learning and behaviour management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow guidance from SEN professionals and teachers.
- A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with SEN.
