Randstad is proud to announce our new partnership with Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone as the latest member of their Patron Network. This collaboration marks a significant step in our commitment to investing in local communities and helping to unlock the potential of young people.

Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone is a vital community charity that provides a safe and supportive space for thousands of young people aged 5-25. Open 7 days a week, the Youth Zone offers a wide range of services, from social integration and health and wellbeing programs to skills and employment services. Their mission is to be "Somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to" for every young person in the area.

This partnership is a natural fit for Randstad. With our global expertise in recruitment, skills development, and workforce planning, we are uniquely positioned to support the Youth Zone’s mission of bridging the gap between aspiration and employment. As Leon Crosby, CEO of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone, puts it, “Randstad’s global expertise in connecting people with opportunity will help us achieve exactly that.”

Our goal is to help prepare the next generation for the modern workplace. The Youth Zone's new World of Work Centre, a state-of-the-art hub designed to connect young people directly with employers, is a testament to this shared vision. Through this partnership, we will support the centre’s efforts to deliver hands-on training, provide one-to-one career coaching, and offer real-life work experience opportunities.

As our Client Solutions Director, Leigh Culverwell, said, "As a global organisation with a passion for unlocking potential, Randstad is committed to investing in local communities like Blackburn with Darwen." Our partnership with the Youth Zone allows us to combine our global reach with a local commitment to help young people in Blackburn & Darwen build brighter futures.

We are excited to work alongside Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone and its community of patrons to empower young people and ensure every learner has the chance to thrive.
