As Kellogg's announced this week that they are dropping degrees as a credential for candidates (as Randstad has done for some time), should more employers adjust their thinking and move away from a ‘no degree, no job’ approach?

And does having a degree result in higher earnings in your career?

With 82% of students now gaining either a 2-1 or 1st class degree - the top classification being gained by 36% today compared to just 10% in 1990 - and only 6% of students now failing to achieve their degree at all - how do employers get underneath whether they are really recruiting ‘top talent’ for ‘top jobs’ when looking at degree results?

And is the heat turning back up for apprenticeships?
