about this update.
what will we cover:
Due to the Finance Bill 2025-26, new UK tax regulations regarding "Joint and Several Liability" take effect on 06 April 2026. To ensure your continued protection and full tax compliance, Randstad has streamlined our preferred supplier list, and you are now required to transition from your current umbrella provider to an approved partner or to Randstad PAYE.
Our Goal: To ensure your tax is managed correctly, protecting you from unexpected HMRC liabilities while guaranteeing your pay remains uninterrupted.

Why is my current umbrella provider being removed?
To protect you from unexpected tax bills and minimize risk, Randstad is reducing the number of umbrella companies on its preferred supplier panel. This allows us to more closely monitor our partners and ensure they meet the strict compliance standards required by the Finance Bill 2025-26.
-
What are the benefits of switching to Randstad PAYE?
If you prefer a simpler approach, you can choose to be paid directly via Randstad PAYE. This offers:
- Greater Simplicity: No intermediary fees or complex expense claims.
- Direct Responsibility: Clearer management of your tax code and payments.
- Security: A direct payroll relationship with Randstad for the remainder ofraising your contract.
-
Will my pay be interrupted during the transfer?
No. Randstad will work closely with your new chosen umbrella partner to ensure your new employment contract is in place and your first payment is processed without interruption.
-
What if my contract is due to end soon?
If you have a contract extension due between now and the end of March, you should transition to your new payroll option at the end of your current assignment. Otherwise, all transitions must be completed by Sunday 22 March 2026.
-
What happens if I don't update my details by the deadline?
To ensure we can process your payments legally under the new 06 April 2026 legislation, we must receive your choice by Friday 20 March 2026. Failure to move to a compliant provider may result in delays to your pay.
