Requirements
- Degree/diploma in Radiography or equivalent is essential
- 3 years post-qualification experience
- Min 1 year experience in Nuclear Medicine
- All candidates must be registered with HCPC
- Up to date Immunisation records to complete a full occupational health review
- Ability to build rapport
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and compliance due to the nature of this work
Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist in a broad range of work activities associated with the use of radioactive substances in the investigation and treatment of patients
- The performance of radionuclide imaging and organ uptake measurements (including non-routine and complex investigations), and the quantitative analysis of image data
- Preparation of data for clinical reporting
- The performance of in-vitro studies including GFR tests and the quantitative analysis of the data
- Be familiar with, and adhere to, the SOR and HPC codes of professional conduct
- Deliver a service, which meets all organisational and professional responsibilities
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of radiography specifically within nuclear medicine
- Communicate effectively with patients and ensure there is an understanding of their condition
- Promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency
- Support the service's leadership team as required
