Job Title: Hod Carrier
Location: Maidstone, Kent
About the Role: A reputable construction company specializing in residential and commercial projects in Maidstone and the surrounding areas is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Hod Carrier to join their team. The Hod Carrier will be responsible for assisting bricklayers and other tradespeople by transporting materials such as bricks, mortar, and concrete on construction sites. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Transporting materials (bricks, mortar, concrete, etc.) to and from construction sites.
- Assisting bricklayers and other tradespeople with the setup and cleanup of work areas.
- Mixing mortar and concrete as needed.
- Ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations on site.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card.
- Own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hat, high-visibility vest, steel-toed boots, and gloves.
- Own hod, bucket, and spade.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Previous experience as a hod carrier or similar role preferred but not essential.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
