Job Title: Hoist Operator

Company Overview: A reputable construction firm is currently seeking a skilled Hoist Operator to join their team in Tonbridge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hoisting equipment to lift and move construction materials, equipment, and personnel on our job sites. Safety, efficiency, and attention to detail are paramount in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hoisting equipment safely and efficiently to lift and move materials, equipment, and personnel as required.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of hoisting equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential safety hazards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating hoisting equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate hoisting activities and ensure smooth operations on the job site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the hoisting equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
Requirements:
- Valid Blue CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) certification for hoisting equipment operation.
- Proven experience operating hoisting equipment in a construction environment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to hoisting operations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to operate hoisting equipment for extended periods.
