As a study skills tutor you will be supporting students within the Lancaster area who have learning difficulties. This will be done by working one-to-one with students and understanding their needs to support them with their academic work.

Responsibilities:

As a Study skills tutor you will be expected to:

• Provide tailored one-to-one support with students you have been assigned to based on their specific learning difficulties

• Assist students with organisational skills such as, time management, creating action plans to work towards deadlines

• Help with their research skills by assisting them to access ranges of resources

• Provide help with writing skills, how to structure their work

• Encourage students to build on existing strengths so they are able to develop on their independence

• Behave in a confidential and professional manner at all time with students

• Work closely with Randstad and ensure any concerns regarding students are communicated immediately

Requirements:

As this is a specialist role, it is essential that you:

Holds a degree
AND
Teaching Certificate / Qualification
AND
Six National Autistic Society (NAS) online training modules
