Please read these Terms and Conditions Carefully: 

By entering the “Competition”, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

How do I enter? 

This Competition is available for participation by entering a submission through Randstad UK’s website: https://www.randstad.co.uk/best-in-class-competition         

 

The submission includes a written element (up to 150 words) and must be accompanied by a visual. The visual can depict either a) the space the entrant wants to make over, b) the entrant’s inspiration or c) a sketch of what the entrant intends to create.  



There is no cost to register or enter the Competition.  The Competition is promoted by Randstad Public Services Limited of 450 Capability Green, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU1 3LU.



When entering the competition, you agree that if you are a winner, you will take part in and co-operate fully with reasonable publicity and to the use of your name, photograph and any comments in such publicity and marketing materials without any fee being payable. 



Randstad will require access to the Winners’ schools between Monday 13th January 2020 and Friday 7th February 2020 to take photographs and/ or a video of the winning entry once the makeover has been carried out.  



Randstad is unable to accept any responsibility for entries that are incomplete, corrupted, or not received by Randstad.  

When and who can enter? 

The Competition starts on Friday 27th September at 10:00 and finishes on Thursday 31st October 2019 at 17:00. 



The competition is open to all primary and early years school, SEN and secondary teachers who are currently working at schools in England and Wales. 



The Competition may be available after the closing date but no entries received after the closing date will be valid for the prize (as defined below). 



What is the prize? 

Three prizes are available. Each prize consists of one £500 voucher from Hobbycraft for each of the three Winners [or another suitable alternative to be decided by Randstad depending on the Winner’s entry].        



There will be three prizes awarded. One prize will be awarded within each of the following categories; a) primary school and early years teachers, b) SEN teachers and c) secondary school teachers.  



The £500 vouchers must be used to make-over the space in line with the submission and cannot be used for any other purpose. 

The makeover must be carried out and/ or managed by the Winners at their schools.  

In the event that any prize is unavailable for reasons beyond the control of Randstad, a reasonable alternative will be provided. 

How will I know if I have won?

A panel of Randstad judges will select three top entries based on creativity,  from each of the three categories to create a shortlist of nine finalists. 



The shortlist of nine finalists will be shared with an independent party, influencers within the education sector, to make the final decision. As such, entries of those shortlisted will be shared with the judges/influencers.  

 

The Winners will be notified by email by 17:00 on Friday 29th November 2019 to the address provided in their entry.



When contacting Randstad, the Winners must confirm that they meet all of the eligibility requirements for the prize to which they are entitled. 



If a Winner fails to respond to the email within seven working days, that Winner will forfeit their prize and Randstad will award the prize to another participant that has been selected by the panel of judges. 



How will data will be used? 

The data shared via the submission will be held for administration, sales and marketing purposes as per Randstad’s privacy policy and will be held no longer than 3 years unless you are placed by Randstad. https://www.randstad.co.uk/privacy-notice/. ;



Randstad will share the personal data  provided to them in the course of entering the Competition for the purposes of administration, sales and marketing.



Personal data will not be sold to third parties however it will be shared with Randstad’s supporting agency, or companies within the same Group as Randstad for the purposes mentioned above.

Governing law and Jurisdiction

The application and interpretation of these terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the England and Wales and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
