Here at Randstad, we continuously look for ways to improve the service we provide to our tutors. Our latest Spring 2024 satisfaction survey reflects a significant improvement in positive feedback and overall satisfaction levels thanks to our ongoing efforts to ensure tutors have the tools, training and support they need to make the best possible impact for the pupils they work with.
What's more, the results really highlight how rewarding being a tutor can be. The high level of job satisfaction felt day in day out by those who are making a real difference to young people’s lives in their formative years is clearly evident from the scores and comments.
The infographic below demonstrates the marked improvement in key metrics in regards to our tutors satisfaction in their work from our Autumn term 2023 survey.
understanding tutor support and engagement
At Randstad, it’s important to us to listen to our tutors to better understand how we can support them to do their job effectively. We hold regular focus groups and feedback sessions to give tutors a voice and help us to know how to provide the support needed. For example, we’re running regular professional development webinars in partnership with NASEN (National Association for Special Educational Needs) from the feedback that more help and advice on how to support SEND pupils would be welcomed.
This comprehensive approach has led to a noticeable improvement in various aspects of tutor satisfaction, as evidenced by our survey results:
overall satisfaction
The percentage of tutors expressing satisfaction with their assignments increased from 85% in Autumn 23 to 89% in Spring 24, marking a 4% rise.
quality of support
Tutors reported a 13% increase in how they felt regarding the quality of support from schools, reflecting our efforts in strengthening partnerships and support systems.
pupil engagement
A significant jump of 14% was noted in tutors reporting that their pupils enjoy their sessions, hitting 93% from 79% in the Autumn term, highlighting the positive impact of our tailored approach.
impact on learning
Tutors' reported that the impact of their tuition on learning saw a 10% increase to 89%, demonstrating the effectiveness of their teaching strategies and our support mechanisms.
communication and resolution
Tutors' satisfaction with communication and overall support from Randstad remained high at 82% (from 81%) showcasing a consistent commitment to responsiveness and support from Randstad to the tutors that work for us.
