REC Audited Education

In 2013 the DfE announced that it was no longer going to provide funding for the DfE Quality Mark for supply teachers; instead suggesting that the recruitment sector should regulate itself.

In response, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) set up the REC Audited Education standard, which mirrors the standards set in recent legislation and ensures that agencies supplying staff to schools are compliant.

This new standard also goes much further and consults with Head Teacher groups, Teaching Unions, Local Authorities, ASCL and NCTL to ensure that best practice is adhered to by all supply agencies.

Randstad Education was awarded the new accreditation in Spring 2014 upon expiry of the DfE Quality Mark and has remained accredited since.
