AWR.

The Agency Workers Regulations have changed the shape of supply teaching. The regulations came into force on 1st October 2011 and the aim is simple: to give temporary workers equal treatment in the workplace.

Educational establishments and supply staff need to understand the implications of both day one rights and the 12-week qualifying period. On completion of the 12-week qualifying period with a single hirer, temporary workers may be entitled to the same basic working and employment conditions as a permanent employee.

Randstad is committed to working with you to help you interpret the legislation, understand the impact this will have and how you can implement AWR most effectively.
