Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious 30T ADT Driver to join our earthworks team on a major new build housing site project for the civils contractor. You will be responsible for the efficient transport of materials across challenging terrains, ensuring site productivity while adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Safely operate a 30-ton articulated dump truck (e.g., Bell, Volvo, or Cat) to move muck, aggregates, and fill materials.
Daily Maintenance: Conduct pre-start inspections, check fluid levels, and report any mechanical defects or safety concerns immediately.
Site Safety: Navigate haul roads safely, maintaining awareness of other plant machinery, ground workers, and changing site conditions (e.g., clay or wet terrain).
Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of loads moved and fuel usage.
Requirements & Qualifications
Certifications: Valid CPCS (Blue preferred) or NPORS card with the ADT (A56) endorsement.
Experience: Minimum 18 months of experience operating ADTs on large-scale sites or quarries.
Medical: Must hold a valid Safety Critical Medical certificate.
Skills: Strong understanding of site traffic management and the ability to work independently or as part of a larger muck-shifting fleet.
Reliability: Punctual, hard-working, and willing to assist with ground-based tasks if required during downtime.
