Assembly Technician
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Technician for EV batteries to join our team on a 6-month contract. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, to cover a leave of absence at our Milton Keynes site.
Key Details:
- Role: Assembly Technician - EV Batteries
- Location: Milton Keynes site, with occasional travel to a nearby site using pool cars.
- Contract: 6 months
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3 pm (overtime may be available)
- Pay: £17.44 per hour (PAYE)
About the Role:
As an Assembly Technician, you will be a crucial part of our team, responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of EV batteries. This role requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems. You will be expected to work from technical drawings and work instructions, ensuring high standards of quality and safety are met.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and electrical assemblies with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Ensure the safe use and maintenance of all equipment.
- Actively participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to improving quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and reporting procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting operations and engineering trials to resolve issues and enhance manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Proven knowledge and experience in both mechanical and electrical systems.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Experience with both hand tools and machinery.
- A strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with testing equipment such as volt meters is preferred.
- Experience in battery assembly and testing is a plus, but not essential.
