Working Pattern Monday - Thursday: 8:00 - 16:00 Friday: 8:00 - 14:30
The Impact You'll Make
As a QC Associate Scientist, your main function is to perform microbiological quality control testing to ensure our products meet strict safety and performance standards. You will be a crucial link in ensuring our customers from clinical labs to pharmaceutical companies can trust the products that help them make the world a healthier, cleaner, and safer place.
This is a growth-oriented role where you will work towards mastering testing methods across our product ranges and refining your laboratory technique.
Your Daily Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Control Testing including Level 1, 2, and 3 testing methods, media preparation, and using autoclaves.
 - Manage Quality Documentation: Record all test results in the SAP Quality Management module, complete OOS reports, and assist with investigations.
 - Planning & Collaboration: Plan and track product testing progress, provide accurate availability dates, and build effective working relationships with Production, QA, and Customer Services to meet service targets.
 - Lab Maintenance: Carry out equipment checks/audits, cleaning, waste management, and consumable replenishing.
 - Continuous Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement using PPI lean methodology to find a better way every day.
 
What You'll Bring
- We are looking for a highly reliable, organised, and results-driven individual who embodies our 4i Values (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation & Involvement).
 - Education: Qualified to a Level 6 equivalent in Microbiology or a related subject (or QBE). Candidates studying towards this level will also be considered.
 - Experience in QC testing within a microbiology laboratory environment.
 - Proficiency in basic laboratory skills and techniques (e.g., pipetting, swabbing, streaking, pouring plates).
 - Ideally, experience using SAP and MS Office software.
 - Skills: Excellent numeracy, the ability to follow SOPs precisely, effective planning/organisational skills, and strong technical troubleshooting abilities.
