About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Team Leader to support the day-to-day operations of our Building Cleaning Service. This is a key role focused on maintaining clean, safe, and well-managed sites across a range of buildings.
You'll work closely with cleaning staff, conducting site inspections, upholding high standards, delivering practical training, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and risk assessments. You'll need a flexible and proactive attitude, as this is a hands-on role that involves working across multiple public and commercial premises.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure the smooth daily operation of the Building Cleaning Department.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor and maintain cleaning standards.
Support and assist cleaning staff, including covering shifts when needed.
Deliver practical training to new and existing team members.
Enforce Health & Safety and COSHH compliance at all times.
Maintain accurate COSHH records and oversee completion of risk assessments.
Report staffing or operational issues to the Management Team.
Foster a positive, supportive team environment.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in cleaning operations, ideally across various sites (e.g., schools, public buildings).
Previous experience in a supervisory or team support role.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
A hands-on leader who leads by example.
Organised, detail-focused, and dependable.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites (preferred).
