We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Chelmsford area. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about enterprise, economics, and the wider world of business, and who wants to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (GCSE), with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level/BTEC) for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of students with varying abilities, ensuring inclusivity.
• Assess, record, and report on student progress, preparing them effectively for exams and coursework.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Contribute to the wider school community and departmental meetings.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are welcome to apply).
• A relevant degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the UK Business Studies curriculum (GCSE/A-Level).
• Experience teaching BTEC Business is highly desirable.
• A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Approachable, professional, and organised.
