Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Classroom: Supervise secondary classes (Key Stages 3 & 4) during the absence of the regular teacher.
• Work Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects-no planning or marking required!
• Maintain Standards: Uphold the school's high expectations for behaviour and "excellence for all" ethos.
• Student Support: Help students engage with their tasks and ensure a productive learning environment.
• Handover: Provide brief, clear feedback to the department on student progress and any behaviour notes.

What We Are Looking For

• Confidence: The ability to command respect and manage a classroom of 30 students.
• Academic Background: A degree is highly desirable (ideal for those looking to build school-based experience).
• Compliance: An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one via Randstad).
• Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Resilience: A positive, "can-do" attitude when stepping into different subject areas at short notice.
