The Role
The core focus of this position is to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging English Language and Literature lessons. You will be responsible for a full timetable of classes, ensuring exceptional progress and positive outcomes for all students aged 11-16. You will be expected to use formative and summative assessment strategies to effectively guide student learning and prepare pupils for GCSE excellence.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic educator who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a closely related field.
Possesses recent, demonstrable experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
Is passionate about literacy, literature, and communication, and is committed to raising student attainment.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements.
Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
Key Responsibilities
You will take full responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your classes, including:
Planning, preparation, and detailed marking.
Contributing to the development of schemes of work.
Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback.
Undertaking a form tutor role.
Actively participating in whole-school life and training.
