About the Role
This position involves teaching English Language Arts to students across various grade levels, including both core English classes and potential electives (e.g., Creative Writing, Journalism, or AP Literature). The ideal candidate is a passionate reader, a skilled writer, and an inspiring educator who can help students discover their own voice.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons focused on literature, composition, grammar, and critical thinking skills.
- Select diverse texts that challenge students and reflect a global perspective.
- Teach students how to analyze complex texts and develop clear, well-supported arguments in their writing.
- Provide detailed, constructive feedback on student writing and guide them through the revision process.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods to meet different learning styles and encourage active classroom participation.
- Assess student progress regularly and maintain open communication with parents and colleagues.
- Contribute to the life of the school through participation in departmental meetings and potential involvement in extracurricular activities like yearbook, debate, or a literary magazine.
What We're Looking For
We are searching for a highly qualified teacher who brings energy, literary expertise, and a commitment to student growth into the classroom every day.
- A degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field (Master's degree strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience teaching English to middle and/or high school students.
- Expertise in both literary analysis and process-based writing instruction.
- A deep understanding of the common challenges and growth points for adolescent writers.
- Proven ability to create a student-centered, inclusive, and academically stimulating classroom environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative mindset and a dedication to continuous professional learning.
