An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive English Teacher to join our partner Secondary School in Sudbury. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to deliver high-quality lessons across all key stages, helping students develop critical thinking, communication, and creative writing skills. This is a chance to make a profound and lasting impact on young lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Help create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages independence and a love for learning.
- Support the physical, emotional, and social development of students, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to student development.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching English at a secondary school level.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for English.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
