Ford is investing £355m into the Halewood site to produce electric power units and Halewood will be the first site to manufacture EV components in Europe, commencing in 2024 with a capacity of 420,000 units.
Salary: £43,912.80
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00-15:30 and Friday 7:00-12:30 (must be flexible to work shift patterns when required)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Must have completed a relevant apprenticeship to be able to complete the tasks above.
- General computer literacy using company systems.
- User knowledge of excel & access database applications.
- Valid driving license
- Prior knowledge of transmission function & teardown would be an advantage.
- Effective communication skills
- Highly motivated and self-driven with innovation skills.
- Proven ability to work in a Team.
- Good understanding of 5 S and workplace organization
- Willing to learn, adaptable and have a flexible approach towards change.
- Knowledge of vehicle repairs would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- De-energising / Energising Electric cars.
- Use Diagnostics Equipment
- Teardown / Rebuild transmissions / Power Units for investigations
- Fit / Remove transmissions /Power Units into vehicles
- Carryout In-vehicle evaluation of transmission / Power Units in accordance with the Engineering Test
- Specifications.
- Represent the Company on drive appraisal events at Customer locations
