The Opportunity
Are you a safety-conscious professional with a valid Counterbalance FLT license?
This is a vital role within a fast-moving, high-hazard (COMAH) environment where precision and safety are our top priorities.
As part of a small, collaborative team, you will ensure the efficient sorting and movement of gas cylinders, contributing directly to the operational success of a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for Industry and Health.
Required: 2.5T Counterbalance FLT License
How You Will Contribute
...- Logistics & Sorting: Carry out the safe sorting of gas cylinders via sort stand operations.
- FLT Operation: Utilize a 2.5-ton Counterbalance Forklift to unload cylinders and banks from vehicles, organizing them into dedicated bays.
- Site Support: Assist Senior Plant Operators and the Facility Manager with daily yard duties and general housekeeping.
- Safety Leadership: Adhere to our "Safety-First" policy-having the confidence to STOP for safety at any time.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation for KPI reporting and compliance.
- Compliance: Work strictly within company and government regulations, particularly regarding gas, pressure, noise, and cryogeny hazards.
What You Bring to the Team
- Certification: A current, valid 2.5T Counterbalance FLT License.
- Experience: Previous experience in chemical, mechanical, or related heavy industries is highly preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle manual tasks, including the handling of gas cylinders, pallets, and straps. Good eyesight and general health are essential.
- Communication: Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage your own time effectively.
- Mindset: A flexible, punctual, and "willing to learn" attitude. You should be comfortable working in a unionise, fast-paced environment.
