We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver to take up temporary ongoing assignments located at Caterpillar's Larne facility.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Operating a forklift truck and other relevant equipment for onsite component/equipment movements. Loading boxes, crates, skids, frames etc. for waste disposal.
- Complete necessary paperwork relating to component equipment movements.
- Inspects, maintains and operates machinery within relevant company guidelines.
- Compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
- Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action.
- Train other employees if and when required.
- Any other appropriate duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Forklift license and previous relevant experience
- The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions as well as basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform the duties described above.
- Good communication skills, experience working in a team environment
- Ability to work reasonable amounts of overtime and various shift patterns
Desired Qualifications:
- Reasonable level of computer literacy
- Previous experience working in a lean environment.
- Ability to prioritise and organise sequence of work on occasion.

Hours of work and salary:
- Day Shift - £14.27/hr.
- Night Shift - £19.03/hr.
- Overtime - £21.41/hr (First ten hours)
- Overtime - £28.54/hr. (After ten hours overtime)
- 37.5 hours per week. (Mon - Thurs)
