The Role
As a General Cover Supply Teacher, you will be crucial in maintaining a high standard of education during periods of staff absence. Your primary focus will be on ensuring productive and safe learning environments.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Delivering pre-planned lessons across various subjects to students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 (KS3-KS5).
Maintaining effective and positive classroom control, ensuring all students are engaged and on task.
Following school policies, particularly regarding behaviour management and safeguarding.
Leaving detailed notes and feedback for the absent teacher on student progress and any issues encountered.
