- Maintain a high standard of student behaviour and conduct by consistently applying the school's behaviour management policy.
- Clearly communicate and explain assignments and objectives to the students to minimise disruption and maximise learning time.
- Monitor student activity, manage the classroom atmosphere, and address simple queries related to the assigned work.
- Promptly report any significant behavioural issues or student concerns to the appropriate departmental or pastoral staff.
- Ensure full compliance with all safeguarding regulations and school safety protocols.
Essential Requirements
- Mandatory: Proven confidence and competence in supervising and managing large groups of teenagers (11-16 years old).
- Mandatory: Significant experience demonstrating strong leadership and behaviour management skills, either in an educational or comparable setting (e.g., training, coaching, youth leadership).
- Preferred: A university degree or strong academic background (ideal for those exploring a teaching career).
- Highly organised, exceptionally punctual, reliable, and capable of adapting quickly to changing timetables.
- High levels of resilience and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Must hold a valid Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or be ready to apply immediately.
What We Offer

- The chance to acquire significant, paid, and varied classroom experience within a high-standard secondary school in Cambridge.
- Consistent, full-time work ideal for securing regular income.
- A genuinely engaging role that offers diversity across subjects and year groups, building a strong CV.
