The Role: General Cover Support
This crucial role is centered on providing flexible, immediate support wherever it's needed most. Your primary focus will be covering classes during short-term teacher absences, but you will also provide essential support to various departments, including administration and student services, when cover is not required.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students complete work set by the absent teacher.
- Maintain positive behavior and discipline within the classroom in line with school policy.
- Respond to student questions regarding pre-set tasks and encourage focused, independent work.
- Collect completed classwork and leave clear feedback for the returning teacher on any issues or progress.
- Provide administrative support to departments, including photocopying, filing, and preparing display materials.
- Assist the Student Services team with tasks such as attendance tracking, running errands, or preparing student files.
- Supervise students during internal exams, detentions, or structured study periods.
- Act as a flexible resource supporting the daily operational needs of the school as directed by senior staff.
