Whether you are an experienced teacher looking to step back from full-time responsibility, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) wanting to gain valuable experience across different key stages, this is the perfect opportunity to stay in the classroom on your own terms.
As a General Supply Teacher, you will cover lessons across various subjects and year groups in the absence of the regular class teacher. No active planning is required-your focus will be on delivering pre-set work, managing the classroom, and ensuring pupils remain engaged.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons effectively.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Leaving brief, constructive handover notes for the returning teacher.
- No planning or heavy marking required!
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
- Has strong classroom management skills and a commanding presence.
- Is flexible, approachable, and able to build rapport with students quickly.
- Lives in or is willing to commute to Rayleigh, Essex.
- Possesses an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply for one).
