The Role: Geography Teacher
We are looking for an educator who can bring both physical and human geography to life, encouraging students to analyze data, conduct fieldwork, and develop spatial awareness from Key Stage 3 through to advanced examination levels.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons across the full age and ability range, including advanced courses (e.g., GCSE, A-Level, IB, or equivalent).
- Organize and lead impactful fieldwork and excursions to deepen students' understanding of geographical processes and issues.
- Integrate modern geographical techniques into teaching, including GIS, satellite imagery analysis, and data interpretation.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing detailed, constructive feedback to ensure they meet their learning potential.
- Contribute to the review and development of the departmental curriculum, resources, and schemes of work to ensure relevance and rigor.
- Provide pastoral care and academic mentorship to students, supporting their social and emotional development.
- Actively participate in departmental and whole-school professional development and collaborative activities.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who is not only a Geography specialist but also a committed educator dedicated to helping students become informed, responsible global citizens.
- A degree in Geography or a closely related environmental/social science discipline.
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Geography to a high standard, ideally up to A-Level or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of current educational trends and curriculum requirements in Geography.
- Proficient in using digital technology and geographical information systems (GIS) in the classroom.
- The ability to build strong rapport with students and create an inclusive, challenging, and supportive learning environment.
- An enthusiastic commitment to the value of fieldwork and enriching extra-curricular activities.
