Role: Groundworker (General Civils)

The Role:
We are looking for hardworking and reliable Groundworkers to join a major civils project in Middlesbrough. This is a long-term, ongoing position for operatives who are happy to get stuck into general groundworks, specifically focusing on large-scale excavations and backfilling.

Key Responsibilities:
Excavation & Trenching: Assisting with the digging of trenches and foundations for industrial infrastructure.
Backfilling & Compaction: Managing the filling and leveling of excavated areas to required specifications.
Machine Assistance: Working closely with 360 and Dumper operators to ensure safe and efficient muck-away and fill cycles.
Service Location: Assisting in identifying live services before and during the digging process.
Site Preparation: Ensuring the site remains clear, safe, and ready for the next phase of construction.
Requirements:
Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
Proven Experience: Solid background in general groundworks, particularly digging and filling on large civils or industrial sites.
Reliability: Strong work ethic and a track record of consistent attendance.
Safety First: A good understanding of site safety and a proactive approach to working around heavy plant.
Local: Ideally based in Middlesbrough, Stockton, or Redcar for an easy commute.
