We are looking for four skilled and reliable Groundworkers to join a fast-paced project in Newmarket. Given the nature of the site, we require professionals who are experienced in high-specification finishes and comfortable working under strict security protocols.
Mandatory Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
CSCS Card: A valid Blue Skilled Worker Card is essential.
Right to Work: Valid documentation to work in the UK.
PPE: Full 5-point PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel-toe boots, gloves, and goggles).
References: Two professional finishing references (previous supervisors or site managers).
Security Clearance: Ideally hold BPSS / EL1 (Prison Clearance) and a Basic DBS as a minimum
Key Responsibilities & Duties
You will be expected to carry out all aspects of groundworks from the initial "muck away" to the final finishing stages. Duties include:
Drainage & Utilities: Installing foul and surface water drainage, including laying pipes and manhole construction.
Concreting: Setting up shutters, tying rebar, and pouring/finishing concrete for slabs and foundations.
Kerbing & Edging: Precision laying of kerbs, edgings, and channels.
Paving & Finishing: High-quality flag laying, block paving, and tactile paving.
Sub-base Prep: Leveling and compacting stone to precise grades.
- Service Installation: Excavating for and installing ducting for electrics, water, and telecoms.
Working Environment
Strict Security: Due to the site's nature, all tools must be accounted for and security procedures followed at all times.
Teamwork: You will be working in a squad of four, requiring strong communication and a collective focus on health and safety.
