Are you a Level 3 or 4 qualified Teaching Assistant with experience leading classrooms? We are seeking skilled and passionate HLTAs to support various primary schools in the Thornton area, starting this September!
This dynamic role offers you the chance to combine class leadership with one-on-one support. As an HLTA, you'll be a vital part of the teaching team, responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups, or whole classes.
Our schools need HLTAs to cover PPA time, manage classes during teacher absences, and provide targeted intervention support. This is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate your skills, take on a wide range of responsibilities, and advance your career.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the classroom by delivering planned lessons during teacher absence or PPA time.
Collaborate with teachers to prepare lesson resources and class displays.
Provide targeted support to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment and manage student behavior effectively.
Liaise with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to education.
Essential Requirements:
HLTA qualification (Level 3/4 or higher).
Previous experience working with young people in a classroom setting.
Confidence in managing challenging behaviors.
A proactive and flexible approach, with a strong ability to build rapport with students.
