Rate: £23.50-24 per hour (dependent on experience, CIS payments available)
About the Role:
We are currently seeking several skilled and experienced 2nd Fix Joiners for an immediate start on a major, high-specification hotel refurbishment project in Darlington.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a prestigious site, delivering high-quality finishing work within a dynamic team. The initial contract is for around 12 weeks], with the potential for extension as the project progresses through its phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Hanging solid and veneer doors, including fitting ironmongery (locks, latches, handles, and closers).
Installing skirting boards, architraves, and dado rails with precision.
Fitting bespoke joinery items such as fitted wardrobes, headboards, and vanity units.
Installing window boards and panelling.
Working accurately from technical drawings and specifications.
Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard of finish, ready for snagging and handover.
Adhering to all site health and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a 2nd Fix Joiner, ideally on commercial or hotel projects.
A valid CSCS Card (Gold/Blue Worker card ).
Own a full set of professional tools (110v or cordless) and full PPE.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Joinery/Carpentry is highly desirable.
Consistent hours (39 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
