Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver an engaging, challenging, and differentiated curriculum across all subjects in line with the National Curriculum.
- Establish and maintain an excellent classroom climate where pupils feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn.
- Use effective assessment strategies to identify pupils' strengths and areas for development, providing timely feedback and targeted support.
- Work closely with the Key Stage 1 team and support staff to ensure cohesive planning and provision.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting the school's values and fostering good behaviour and independence.
- Actively engage in parental consultations, keeping lines of communication open and building strong home-school partnerships.
- Commit to continuous professional development (CPD) and contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
What We're Seeking:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven, successful experience in a Key Stage 1 setting.
- A comprehensive knowledge of phonics instruction and early reading strategies.
- The ability to manage behaviour effectively through positive reinforcement and clear routines.
- A creative flair for making lessons memorable and accessible to all learning styles.
- Strong commitment to the principles of inclusion and equality.
- Highly effective organisation and administrative skills, including excellent record-keeping.
- A genuinely enthusiastic and resilient team player with a desire to contribute to whole-school development.
- Evidence of impact on pupil progress and a data-driven approach to teaching.
