About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher (Years 1 and 2) to join a collaborative primary team. You will be responsible for delivering exciting, differentiated, and high-quality teaching that builds securely upon the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and prepares pupils for Key Stage 2. We seek a teacher who can nurture early reading, writing, and mathematical skills while ensuring a smooth transition into the National Curriculum.

What We're Looking For
- Are you ready to be the spark that ignites a lifelong curiosity and love for learning in young children?
- Do you have the passion to make the Year 1 and Year 2 curriculum engaging, accessible, and truly memorable?
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2).
- Thorough knowledge and confident application of the National Curriculum for KS1.
- A track record of raising attainment in early literacy and numeracy (Phonics/Reading/Maths).
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, stimulating learning environment.
- Strong commitment to differentiation to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and high achievers.
- Effective communication skills to liaise professionally with staff, pupils, and parents.
- A proactive, creative, and highly reflective professional outlook.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Planning, preparing, and delivering creative and challenging lessons that meet the requirements of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
- Assessing, monitoring, and recording pupils' progress systematically, providing timely feedback, and setting aspirational targets.
- Creating a positive, well-organised, and engaging classroom environment conducive to active learning.
- Managing and directing the work of any assigned Teaching Assistants (TAs) to ensure effective support.
- Establishing and maintaining strong home-school partnerships through open communication and informative updates.
- Contributing actively to the development of the KS1 curriculum and participating in whole-school improvement initiatives.
- Upholding the school's safeguarding policies and promoting the welfare and well-being of all pupils.
