The Role: Key Stage 2 Teacher
We are seeking a passionate and resilient Key Stage 2 Teacher to join an innovative team. This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for a mixed-ability class, fostering a love of learning and helping children reach their full potential. A significant part of this role involves utilising your expertise in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and in managing complex challenging behaviour to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and thrive.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons tailored to the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, using data to inform future planning and interventions.
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Effectively differentiate teaching to support pupils with a range of learning needs, including those with Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Implement positive behaviour management strategies with confidence and consistency, particularly for pupils presenting complex challenging behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENDCo, and external professionals to meet individual pupil needs.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil learning and well-being.
- Contribute actively to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school events.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant Key Stage 2 teaching experience.
- Proven experience working with children with SEND, including developing and implementing personalised learning plans.
- Demonstrable skill in managing and de-escalating complex challenging behaviour in the classroom.
- A practitioner who is creative, flexible, and reflective in their approach to teaching.
- An individual with high expectations for all pupils, fostering independence and resilience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
