Randstad Education is searching for adaptable KS1 Supply Teachers to join our team. We work with a diverse range of primary schools in Sheffield that require high-quality cover for short-term absences and long-term parental leave.
The Role
Key Stage 1 is a pivotal time for young learners. As a supply teacher, you will be responsible for:
Delivering engaging lessons in Core subjects, with a strong focus on Phonics and Numeracy.
Managing classroom transitions effectively to keep 5-to-7-year-olds on task.
Adapting quickly to different school behavioural policies and routines.
Providing brief, helpful handover notes for the returning class teacher.
Requirements
To maintain our reputation with Sheffield schools, all candidates must meet the following:
Must have recent UK classroom experience (this is vital for delivering the current KS1 National Curriculum and adhering to UK safeguarding standards).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience teaching Phonics (knowledge of Read Write Inc or Little Wandle is highly desirable).
A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
