As a Bioscience Laboratory Scientist, you will execute a range of experimental techniques and methodologies with precision and technical expertise to advance research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute various laboratory methodologies to generate high-quality data aligned with project objectives set by Senior Research Scientists.
- Provide scientific insights during project discussions with the support of Laboratory Research Scientists.
- Assist in validating new methodologies and contribute to refining and troubleshooting existing techniques under guidance from senior team members.
- Maintain critical laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality according to best practices.
- Deliver training and support to fellow laboratory scientists on standard methodologies and operational practices.
- Effectively communicate research findings to internal stakeholders through written reports or presentations.
- Maintain meticulous electronic laboratory records in compliance with WALTHAM guidelines.
- Collaborate with the laboratory team to enhance operational efficiency and best practices.
- Contribute to scientific reports and publications supporting principal investigators.
- Adhere to quality management, health, safety, and environmental requirements in laboratory activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in biology or related scientific field.
- Proficiency in one or more laboratory techniques such as cell culture, immunoassays, microbiology techniques, DNA extraction, or PCR.
- Prior laboratory experience, whether through university coursework or professional settings; research experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey scientific information accurately and clearly.
