The Role: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). This rewarding role involves working closely with the class teacher and the SEN coordinator to implement personalised learning plans, ensuring all children can fully access the curriculum.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them to engage with classroom activities and overcome learning barriers.
- Assist in the preparation of resources and learning materials, adapting them to meet individual student needs.
- Support the class teacher in managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Observe and record student progress against learning objectives, feeding back to teachers, parents, and the SENCo.
- Facilitate the inclusion of students with SEN in all aspects of school life, promoting independence and social skills.
- Administer routine tests and check student work, providing constructive feedback.
What We're Looking For:
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient individual with a genuine commitment to supporting children's learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Proven experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Understanding of various Special Educational Needs (SEN) and different strategies to support them.
- A flexible and proactive approach to daily challenges.
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field is desirable.
