Our local Secondary schools in and across Liverpool are looking for Learning Support Assistants.
Skills Needed:
- Previously worked in a school setting or have significant experience coaching/mentoring young people.
- The ability to pivot when a lesson plan changes or a student needs a different approach.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Secondary school life is fast-paced; we need people who can keep a cool head and a positive attitude.
Your Daily Duties:
- Working 1:1 or in small groups with students who need an extra boost in core subjects like English, Maths, or Science.
- Partnering with the Class Teacher to keep students engaged, focused, and on-task.
- Prepare learning materials and create a vibrant, positive classroom environment.
- Acting as a positive role model for students aged 11-16, helping them build confidence and resilience.
- Observing student performance and providing vital feedback to the teaching staff.
- Working closely with students to manage classroom behaviour and keep them focused on their goals.
