Are you a detail-oriented individual with a background in warehousing or manufacturing? We are seeking a Material Handler II to join our team in Cramlington. This is a vital role responsible for the end-to-end management of raw materials to support our production operations, ensuring total compliance with safety and quality standards.
The Role
As a Raw Material Handler, you will ensure that all materials are accurately tracked, safely stored, and issued to production precisely when needed. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Receiving & Inspection: Verifying incoming materials against documentation and labelling them according to SOPs.
- Inventory Management: Recording material movements in inventory systems, supporting cycle counts, and following FIFO/FEFO practices.
- Production Support: Issuing raw materials to production areas based on specific work orders and batch records.
- Safety & Compliance: Operating material handling equipment (forklifts/pallet jacks) and maintaining a clean, organised workspace in line with GMP and EHS standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, material handling, or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict SOPs and work instructions.
- Physical Ability: This is a physical role involving standing, walking, and the manual handling of materials (up to 40-50 lbs).
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills for documentation; a forklift license is highly beneficial, though a willingness to obtain one is also welcomed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Position Details Hours: 37.50 hours per week, with two 30-minute unpaid breaks per shift.
- Overtime: Available when required to meet business needs.
- Interview Process: 30-minute onsite interview.
