Job Opportunity: Material Handler - Heysham
Are you detail-oriented with a background in warehousing? We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our team in Heysham. This is a vital role ensuring our products are picked, packed, and shipped to UK and international customers with the highest level of accuracy.
The Details
Location: Heysham
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (Weekly Rotation)
Week 1: 08:00 - 16:00
Week 2: 09:30 - 17:30
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of goods leaving our facility. Your daily duties will include:
- Order Picking: Accurately picking UK and Export shipments using provided pick lists.
- Compliance: Following strict packing and labeling instructions to align with transport regulations.
- Logistics: Collating export shipments, ensuring accurate loading, and completing all necessary paperwork.
- Systems & Tech: Using third-party courier systems and handling MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).
- Maintenance: Keeping stock of consumables and reporting any defective equipment to Team Leaders.
- Standards: Adhering to Health & Safety, Security, Quality (QMS), and Environmental (EMS) policies.
- Improvement: Participating in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities on-site.
What We Are Looking For
We need a team player who takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will have:
- Attention to Detail -Essential - accuracy is key for export regulations.
- Warehouse Experience Highly Beneficial - familiarity with dispatch environments.
- Forklift License Beneficial - current or previous certification is a plus.
- Communication Essential - ability to report issues and maintain records.
