Pay Rate: £12.65 per hour (Annual equivalent: £25,407.53) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday on rotation
- Week 1: 08:00 - 16:00
- Week 2: 09:30 - 17:30
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler II to join our team in Heysham. You will be responsible for the accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of UK and Export shipments, ensuring all goods meet high quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Pick shipments from warehouses using provided lists and report any quality discrepancies.
- Packing & Logistics: Follow strict packing and labelling instructions to align with Transport Regulations.
- Shipping Coordination: Help collate export shipments, ensuring accurate loading and completion of all necessary paperwork.
- Systems & Reporting: Utilize third-party systems (Couriers, MSDS) and maintain up-to-date records.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain consumable stock levels, operate equipment safely (following training), and participate in site Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to site security, environmental (EMS), quality (QMS), and Health & Safety policies at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is highly beneficial.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- Technical: Ability to use or learn third-party courier systems and MSDS.
- License: A Forklift license/training is a significant advantage.
- Reliability: Ability to work a rotating shift and a commitment to a 12-month contract.
