Position: Qualified Maths Teacher
Location: Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex
Compensation: £140 - £170 per day (Scale dependent)
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and academically rigorous Qualified Teacher of Mathematics to join a secondary department in the Westcliff-on-Sea area.
This role is ideal for a practitioner who excels in delivering the national curriculum across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to support KS5 (A-Level) cohorts.
As a specialist subject teacher, you will be expected to foster a high-attainment environment, ensuring that students of all abilities can access complex mathematical concepts and succeed in their examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Pedagogy & Delivery: Plan and execute high-quality lessons that challenge students and promote numerical fluency and problem-solving skills.
- Assessment: Utilise formative and summative assessment data to track pupil progress and implement targeted interventions where necessary.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of GCSE (and potentially A-Level) specification requirements to ensure optimal exam preparation.
- Classroom Leadership: Maintain the highest standards of behaviour and engagement, adhering to the school's established safeguarding and disciplinary policies.

Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory requirement.
- Subject Expertise: A degree in Mathematics or a related STEM discipline is highly desirable.
- Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to undergo a new check).
- Local Knowledge: Proximity to the Westcliff/Southend area to ensure reliable attendance.
