Your Responsibilities
Classroom Innovation: Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics that challenge and support students of all abilities.
Exam Readiness: Focus on GCSE success, using your deep curriculum knowledge to prepare Year 11 students for their final assessments.
Progress Tracking: Monitor and record student achievement, providing clear, actionable feedback to close learning gaps.
Collaborative Spirited: Work with the Blackburn teaching community to share resources and maintain the school's high standards of behavior and learning.
Professional Conduct: Adhere to all safeguarding and school policies, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A relevant degree in Mathematics or a quantitative field is essential.
Secondary School Experience: Proven success teaching the UK Maths curriculum at KS3 and KS4.
Adaptability: The ability to settle quickly into a new school environment and build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
Classroom Management: Strong presence and the ability to maintain a focused, positive learning atmosphere.
DBS Check: A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
