Randstad Education is searching for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in the historic town of Colchester.
We are looking for a practitioner who can move beyond the "how" of mathematics and delve into the "why," fostering a deep logical understanding and a love for problem-solving in every student.
The Role
This is a full-time position teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. For candidates with the relevant experience, there are also opportunities to teach A-Level Core, Mechanics, or Statistics. You will be joining a department equipped with modern technology and a collaborative culture that encourages the sharing of creative resources.
Key Responsibilities
... - Engaging Delivery: Plan and teach lessons that bring mathematical concepts to life, from trigonometry to calculus.
- Exam Success: Prepare students for GCSE (and potentially A-Level) success through rigorous assessment and supportive feedback.
- Differentiation: Adapt teaching styles to support both students who struggle with numeracy and those aiming for Grade 9.
- Contribution: Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school (e.g., Maths Challenges or STEM clubs).

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- A specialist degree in Mathematics or a related STEM subject.

- An enhanced DBS on the update service.
